Position Description:
Provides administrative and logistical support to Senior Pastor and Executive Director by managing schedules, correspondence, travel arrangements, organizing files, and managing external correspondence to ensure smooth operations and efficient productivity. Responsible for ordering equipment, furniture, office supplies, church supplies, and church decorations as approved by Executive Director.
Position Responsibilities:
- Calendar and Schedule Management: Managing complex schedules, scheduling meetings, and ensuring smooth flow of appointments.
- Travel Arrangements: Booking flights, hotels, and coordinating travel logistics for the executive. Executives reserve the right to make their own travel arrangements or have specific requirements.
- Communication and Correspondence: Handling church emails, church phone calls, and other forms of communication, preparing or assisting with reports and presentations as needed.
- Project Management: Assisting with project coordination, tracking progress, and providing support to the executive’s specific projects.
- Administrative Tasks: Filing documents, managing office supplies, and performing other administrative duties as needed.
- Gatekeeping: Acting as a point of contact for the executives, screening calls and visitors, and managing access to the executive’s schedule.
- Teamwork: Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Planning the logistics for and organizing an annual all-staff event.
- Support Sunday Services as applicable.
Position Requirements:
- A clear salvation testimony and scripturally baptized.
- Demonstrating a consistent walk with Christ.
- Engaged in the discipleship rhythm at Heritage.
- A member of Heritage.
- Giving consistently to the Lord through Heritage.
- Willing to complete a background check.
- Multiple years of providing administrative support.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations in a graceful way.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide perspective and be efficient.
- Have a heart to serve others and to help others have a positive experience.
- Meet with the Executive Director monthly to discuss performance and objectives.
Benefits:
- Part-time, salary position.
- Approximately 24 hours a week.
- Schedule
- On campus 3 days a week:
- Tuesday and Thursdays – 9AM to 3PM
- Wednesdays – 11AM to 4PM
- Flex (work from home or the campus)
- Mondays – 9AM to 3PM
- Sundays
- Attend one or both services, be available to support administrative needs,
- On campus 3 days a week:
- Time-off, sick leave, and holidays are included

Skilled Volunteer Opportunities

Overview
Heritage Baptist Church is seeking skilled volunteers with experience in general maintenance to help steward and care for our church building and property. This vital role supports the mission of creating a welcoming and well-functioning space for worship, ministry, and community.
Responsibilities
Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as light repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or HVAC support based on skillset
Perform regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention
Help with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, or setting up for special events
Collaborate with staff to ensure safety, cleanliness, and upkeep of the church grounds and building
Respond to maintenance needs as they arise and assist with project-based facility improvements
Qualifications
Prior experience in general maintenance, construction, or related trade
A heart to serve and care for God’s house and His people
Ability to work independently and with a team
Dependable, detail-oriented, and respectful of church property
Willingness to serve on an as-needed basis with a flexible schedule
Time Commitment: Flexible hours based on availability; typically 2–4 hours per week
