In 1 Timothy 4:1–5, Paul gives a sobering warning that some will depart from the faith by following deceitful spirits and false teaching. False teaching can sound spiritual while subtly replacing God’s Word with man-made rules and distortions of what God has called good. As followers of Christ, we must remain anchored in Scripture, discerning truth from error and refusing anything that adds to, subtracts from, or twists the gospel. Our hope is found in Christ alone—not in religious performance or human regulations—but in faithfully trusting and following the One who gave Himself for sinners.
